TOWARDS TWO WAYS OF CONSTRUCTIVE GEOGRAPHY DEVELOPMENT IN UKRAINE

Igor CHERVANYOV, Nadiia GRYSHCHENKO

Abstract

This paper presents two main ways of constructive geography development in Ukraine. The authors consider environmentology as a well-developed approach which pays special attention to the condition and evaluation of natural capital. The latter is made by means of environmental economics. In Ukraine three main tools of environmental economics are used, namely rent assessment of land, emission trading schemes and environmental regulations. Noosphere genesis is another promising way of geography development in information society, as it recognizes society as a driving force of changes in natural environment.
