Abstract


The Complexity of the Athmosferical Dynamics of the Euro-Atlantic Region. Unpublished Aspects. The modern examination means prove that the dynamics of air masses from the Atlantic-European region is far more complex than previously thought. After the presentation of the main achievements in the field, first of all the major movement lines of the atmospheric formations, the paper signals and describes 3 new, routes, crossed by air masses coming from regions far away from Europe. These could be detected by means of satellite images achieved during the past decades. That is:

-          route (atmospheric flow) A, coming from the Caribbean Basin, including the Gulf of Mexico and usually lands in North-Western Europe;

-          route (atmospheric flow) B, coming from the Amazon Basin and mainly lands in South-Western Europe;

-          route (atmospheric flow) C, which departs from the African-Atlantic equatorial region and lands in Southern Europe, crossing the Mediterranean Sea.

On the rain maps, for the periods during which the above mentioned flows are active, these routes are marked by rains.
